Our History
Camtech & Slater has been around since 1990, based in Gippsland. We started local and these days we partner with business owners all over Australia, but how we work hasn't changed.
Kate started here in 2010 on reception. She learned this business from the front desk up, and in 2016 she backed herself and bought it. Zoe came on that first year, Dylan joined in 2017, and the three of them have been the heart of the team ever since.
We're not interested in a once-a-year, tick-the-box relationship. We want to build something with you, whether that's the freedom to take home what you actually want each week, the peace of mind of knowing your numbers cold, or a business worth leaving behind one day. That's the whole point of getting your structure right, teaching you your numbers, and planning ahead so nothing sneaks up on you. Some clients want us in their corner every week, some just twice a year. Both are fine. You tell us how much you need and we meet you there.
And we've never charged like a taxi with the meter running. Everything's quoted upfront and billed as a simple monthly retainer, from the basic compliance stuff right through to the big-picture advisory work.

Kate started here in 2010 on reception and bought the business in 2016, so she knows it from every angle.
She's a CPA, Tax Agent, with a Business and Commerce degree from Monash, but what she really loves is growing people, teams and businesses. Helping owners get their heads around their numbers, build a team that works, and create the business and life they're actually chasing. Structure, strategy, tax planning, cash flow, she's the one you want in your corner for the big calls.
Outside work she's usually travelling, training, reading, or hunting down a good feed with the people she loves.

Zoe Simpson CPA
Client Manager
Zoe joined the team back in 2016 and she's the relationship glue of the place.
Clients love her because she actually listens and makes them feel looked after, no question too small. She's got a Commerce degree from Monash and is a fully qualified CPA, and she's our go-to for Xero, QBO and getting messy systems running properly.
When she's not at her desk she's playing netball for Yallourn North or out exploring Gippsland with her family.

Senior Production Manager
Dylan came on board in 2017 and he's the technical firepower of the team.
He's a CPA with a Commerce degree from Federation, and he's the one we hand the hard stuff to: tax law, structuring, SMSF, and the tricky returns that need someone who really knows their stuff. If there's a knot to untangle, it goes to Dylan.
He's meticulous, which is exactly what you want in the person handling your tax. Off the clock he's playing soccer for Moe or deep in a game.

Belinda joined Camtech & Slater Financial Group in March 2026 and is an experienced and professional Tax Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry. Her career began in reception and progressed through roles as a Personal Assistant, SMSF specialist and, ultimately, Tax Accountant.
Throughout her career, Belinda has developed a strong passion for helping clients with their tax and compliance needs. She takes pride in providing professional, practical and personalised support to help clients manage their financial obligations with confidence.
Outside of work, Belinda enjoys playing netball and spending time with her family and friends.

Paolo joined us in November 2024 holds his Filipino CPA and he's our AI edge.
He's the one pushing how we use the latest tools to work faster and sharper than a traditional firm ever could, and he never drops the detail.
He handles Business Tax returns and Financial Reporting, Personal Tax, FBT, BAS, Bookkeeping.
Outside work, he's a dad first and a fan of music, true crime docs, anime, gaming and comedy.

Accountant
